Shankly overhaul the team on a large scale by releasing 24 players long and use a room at Anfield stadium to hold a coaching meeting. This room is on call ‘The Boot Room’ which successfully gave birth to legendary Liverpool managers in the future. Because all of a sudden Bill Shankly decided to retire. Players and Liverpool (the nickname for fans of Liverpool FC) trying to persuade, even the workers in Liverpool threatened to strike. But Bill Shankly remain in position and handed the managerial baton to his assistant Bob Paisley is. Bill Shankly finally retired in 1974 and joined the Liverpudlian in the stands of The Kop.

Liverpool triumph continued with Bill Shankly Bob Paisley who was then aged 55 years. He served as manager of Liverpool FC from 1974 until 1983 and only in the early years of Bob Paisley was not able to give the title to Liverpool FC. During 9 years of Bob Paisley served as manager of Liverpool FC, he gave a total of 21 trophies, including three Champions Cups, one UEFA Cup, six English Premier League champions and League Cup 3 in a row. With all of the title was not wrong when Bob Paisley became the most successful manager ever deal with English club. Not only successful to give the title for Liverpool FC, but Bob Paisley was also successful in the regeneration of Liverpool FC in the body with the appearance of young stars such as Graeme Souness, Alan Hansen, Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush. Although Bob Paisley will inherit a young squad that was great and talented, but with all the nicks that title would be very hard for any successor.

As the successor Bob Paisley, who retired in 1983, Joe Fagan who was then aged 62, managed to make Liverpool the treble present champions, League Cup winners and Champions Cup winners. This achievement makes Liverpool FC as an English football club that won three titles at once in a season. Unfortunately, it’s a little golden record tarnished by incidents at Heysel stadium. The incident happened before the Champions Cup final between Liverpool FC and Juventus, killing 39 people, mostly Juventus supporters. This incident resulted in the prohibition to all English football clubs to compete in Europe for 5 years. Liverpool FC and barred from all European competitions for 10 years finally reduced to 6 years. In addition, 14 Liverpudlian admitting guilt for the events known as the Heysel tragedy. After that horrible incident, Joe Fagan decided to retire and give the stick next to Kenny Dalglish managerial appointed as player-manager. Joe Fagan hand over managerial duties to Kenny Dalglish Liverpool FC who by then had become a great player but still have to prove the capability as a manager.

During the leadership of Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool FC won the Premier League was taken 3 times and won the FA Cup 2 times, including a double degree Premier League champions and FA Cup winners in 1985/86 season. When not exposed to sanctions from UEFA, Liverpool FC can certainly be a serious contender to win the Champions Cup at the time. Liverpool FC’s success in the leadership of Kenny Dalglish back another terrible incident overshadowed the Hillsborough tragedy. In the game the FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forrest on April 15, 1989, hundreds of spectators outside the stadium forced their way into the stadium that resulted in Liverpudlian who was in the stands sandwiched stadium railing. This resulted in 94 Liverpudlian died at the scene, a Liverpudlian died 4 days later in hospital and a Liverpudlian other died after a coma for 4 years. Hillsborough tragedy as a result of this the British government to back research on the safety factor in the country’s football stadiums. Known as the Taylor Report, said that the cause of the Hillsborough tragedy this is a factor that exceeds the capacity of the stadium audience because of lack of anticipation of the security forces. Eventually the British government passed legislation that requires each club division i England to abolish the tribune stood. After becoming a living witness of the tragedy of Heysel and Hillsborough terrible, ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish can never escape from the trauma that descend himself. Finally on February 22, 1990 he announced his resignation as manager of Liverpool FC. The announcement is very shocking the football world at the time, because Liverpool FC is competing with Arsenal in the Premier League title race. Reasons mentioned by Kenny Dalglish at the time was no longer able to face pressure in menahkodai Liverpool FC. Over the past few weeks is handled by Liverpool FC first team coach Ronnie Moran before Liverpool FC appoint Graeme Souness as manager next. ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish later remembered as the greatest legends of Liverpool FC because it is very successful both as a player and manager.

Departure of ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish and two terrible tragedy (Heysel and Hillsborough) seem to provide trauma, punishment or condemnation deep for Liverpool Football Club. The arrival of Graeme Souness had not changed the fortunes of Liverpool FC. Although Souness could give the FA Cup in 1992, but with policies that are less good players transfer and implementation of strategies that make Liverpool a bit confusing is not consistent in that season. Another thing that ties between Souness and Souness told Liverpudlian is when his health recovery process after cardiac surgery to the newspaper The Sun. As it is known that people in Merseyside boycott of The Sun newspaper that often cornered on Liverpudlian Hillsborough tragedy. On January 28, 1994 Graeme Souness resigned as manager of Liverpool FC after exit from the League Cup and FA Cup. Coach Roy Evans was appointed as the next manager of Liverpool FC. The next Liverpool manager Roy Evans is a senior coach who has been with Liverpool FC for over 30 years. In the 1994/95 season, Liverpool was ranked fifth Premier League and won the League Cup by beating Bolton Wanderers by a score of 2-1. Roy Evans managed to restore Liverpool’s typical game of ‘pass and move’. But the slick and beautiful game Liverpool FC at the time this is not balanced enough determination and aggressiveness of the players, so Liverpool during the Roy Evans is often called the ‘Spice Boys’. In addition to the more mature players such as Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman and Jamie Redknapp, coaching during the Roy Evans emerging young talent named Michael Owen scored 18 goals and became the PFA Young Player of the Year Award in 1998.

In the 1998/99 season Liverpool FC pull the Frenchman Gerard Houllier to partner with Roy Evans as ‘joint manager’. This success led to a glimmer of hope for Liverpool to be Premier League title last won in 1990. In 2003 Liverpool FC won the League Cup and was ranked fourth in the season 1993/94 thus eligible for the Champions League qualification. Although it managed to give a title for Liverpool FC, but the defensive tactics employed Gerard Houllier could be considered not competing to win the English League title. Defensive tactics and relying on counterattacks very easily anticipated by the opponent, so that on May 24, 2004 Gerard Houllier was replaced by Rafael Benitez.

Rafael Benitez came to Liverpool FC after successfully bringing Valencia won the Spanish league 2 times and UEFA Cup winners. Liverpool Hope to become Premier League champions again soar after Benitez had put Liverpool FC win the Champions League for the 5th time. The victory in the Champions League final which is the reason for the captain and living legend Steven Gerrard for Liverpool FC did not move to another club. The decision is welcomed by the Liverpudlian. Liverpool FC Rafael Benitez was then taken to the European Super Cup champions by defeating CSKA Moscow UEFA Cup champion with a score of 3-1. After winning the Community Shield Cup in 2006 and reached the 2007 Champions League final, the next season be the season without a title for Rafael Benitez and Liverpool FC. The only encouraging news for Liverpool is the return of ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish to Liverpool FC Youth Academy gave birth in 2009. Rafael Benitez finally berhaenti on June 3, 2010 and was replaced by Roy Hodgson. During the leadership of Rafael Benitez, Liverpool FC have 2 times the transition of ownership of the club. The first was in 2007 when it was bought by George Gillett and Tom Hicks and in 2010 when Liverpool FC were taken over New England Sports Ventures owned by John W. Henry.

In a press statement said Roy Hodgson is very proud to be able to handle a club of Liverpool FC and can not wait to meet with the players, Liverpudlian and eager to work at Melwood. But the situation at Liverpool FC at the time was still highly uncertain because it is in the transition of ownership. The hustle and bustle of news about the club’s bankruptcy and a prolonged transition process strongly influence the atmosphere at Liverpool FC at the time. Liverpool FC finally started the 2010/11 season was very bad. Until mid-October Liverpool FC in the relegation zone and lost to second division club Northampton Town. Besides Liverpool FC face the threat of reduction 9 points from the FA if they can not resolve the situation internally. Finally in January 2011 Liverpool FC and Roy Hodgson have agreed to terminate cooperation and subsequent manager position held by the ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish to which the second time until the end of the season.

Precisely January 8, 2011 ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish officially served as manager of Liverpool FC for the second time. Although the opening match defeat in the FA Cup, but the ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish managed to restore a player’s performance and characteristics of ‘pass and move’ Liverpool FC. The proof is ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish managed to lift Liverpool FC from relegation to the position 6 Premier League standings. These results are not out of courage ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish to sell star players like Fernando Torres then buy Luis Suarez of Ajax Amsterdam and Andy Carroll of Newcastle United. Courage in the case put young players such as: Martin Kelly, Jay Spearing and Danny Wilson was decent thumbs up. Raihan is what makes many parties urged that ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish on a permanent contract as manager of Liverpool FC.
