Azarenka vs Sharapova 3-3 Imbang

Record of meeting Victoria Azarenka vs. Maria Sharapova as strong, with each picking three victories. So who will win the seventh meeting as well as winning the Australian Open 2012?

The final match between third-seeded Azarenka against fourth-seeded Sharapova will be held at Rod Laver Arena on Saturday (01/28/2012).

So far they have met six times. However, there is no in between who met in Grand Slam events.

The first meeting of the two tennis players in the second round of the Kremlin Cup, nearly five years ago. When it Azarenka defeated Sharapova in straight sets 7-6 6-2.

The next two meetings Sharapova triumphed. Russian tennis beauty who beat his opponent from Belarus is in the second round in two different events at the LA Women’s Championship and China Open in three sets.

In 2010, Azarenka steal the championship title of Sharapova after winning the final 6-4 6-1 Stanford Classic. Whereas in the past year, both players two times meet and share the victory.

First Azarenka defeated Sharapova in the semifinals 6-1 6-4 Miami Open in February in which he went on to become champion.

But three months later the 24-year tennis player “get back” at the Rome Open quarterfinals with a 6-4 0-3 following the withdrawal through injury Azarenka and Sharapova then went on to become champions.

The duel between Azarenka cons Sharapova this time would be more fierce because major title fight plus one world ranking status.
