‘Comeback Show Quality Three Goals Arsenal’

Behind two first goal for Arsenal apparently not fatal. Evidently, they were able to reverse the situation through three goals scored within seven minutes.

Facing Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (29/01/2012) night, just behind Arsenal 0-2 at halftime. The Villans lead through goals Goals scored by Richard Dunne and Darren Bent.

However, Arsenal gave a good reaction at the beginning of the second half, scoring three goals in seven minute intervals. Two Robin van Persie penalty and one other goal from Theo Walcott gave Arsene Wenger’s protege 3-2 victory.

The result left the Gunners cruised into the FA Cup fifth round, where they will face the winner of the match between Sunderland and Middlesbrough. However, for Wenger, there is a more important achievement than advanced to the FA Cup fifth round.

“I hope that victory will convince the team that we have the qualities required and we can transfer them to the Premier League,” said the French manager at AFP.

Arsenal’s performance in recent domestic league is not exactly good. They go through three matches in the Premier League with a defeat, which makes them stuck outside the zone of the big four.

“When you do not win, your confidence goes. We lost our confidence and of course disappeared, regardless of whatever history we have.”

Furthermore, Wenger said the importance of the victory over Villa in response to criticism. Before this, he and his team get the spotlight after a bendable Manchester United 1-2. Wenger himself scorned, but he chose not to care.

“I was very surprised with the spirit that we have. After going through a bad period behind 0-2 and you could be feeling sorry for yourself. However, the players stay positive during the interval.”

“They do not give up. They still feel proud. They showed themselves they do not want just collapsed.”
